Mini Road Trip, Part II

Following our fun shopping, we headed into town.

First stop was no other than the world's largest Christmas store, Bronner's.

Although we didn't go in we had some fun outside at all of the crazy statues and fun things they have. Such as this one, where my brother decided to portray the Statue of Liberty using a few stones. Funny stuff.

Then I made my brother pose with me and the nutcrackers because I wanted to document that I was actually on this trip.

Oh and check out this awesome nativity scene. If you've never been here you really would be amazed at all the Christmas stuff they have.

They even have polar bears because I guess they hang out on the North Pole with Santa? Hum..

Heading further into town we visited the beautiful Frankenmuth bridge. This used to scare me because it is pure wood and made like a hundred years ago so I'd get so worried that it might fall. I still sometimes think of it as I walk over.

Then I made my super cute brother, Chris, pose by the waterfall. I sometimes do this with people who are with me and I find pretty things. You have been warned.

And I just thought this was funny, a Frankenmoose at Frankenmuth. Ha! Does anyone else see the humor in this?

We ate lots of yummy taffy while there too. I feel like it's tradition when you go there (just like you eat fudge while in Mackinac Island). So yummy.

I just thought this globe was super cool and I'd so like one at my home one day.

A view of the city streets. Did I mention that they travel in horse & carriage here? Well not all do, but it is customary to see a few strolling down the streets.

Before we left, I had to stop by the huge waterfall. This day a huge tree has fallen into the river and was stuck. A bystander told me that this had happened a few days before and the city was just hoping that it would naturally come down. Still, very cool.

And last by not least, my brother and father standing my the traditional Wilkommen sign. When I was little, I remember not understanding why this big sign wasn't as popular as the Hollywood one. HaHa.

Aww, how fun! And what an adorable family you have!

I adore going up North... I've always said that, beyond Flint, anywhere North on I-75 is a vacation to me :)
