Kidneys, Best Friends, Good Chicken & The Number 100!

Today my family had a little memorial service for my Great Aunt Lottie. It was horribly sad (as most things like this are) and seeing how the size of my family is decreasing instead of increasing makes it ever harder. I guess it could be increasing, but since I am in no rush to have children, I don't see that happening anytime soon.

Also, in bad news, today I went to the doctors for my kidney. About 5 years ago I got a really bad kidney infection that landed me in the hospital for about three days. Then just last March I had another kidney issue which had me bed stricken for days. Well this jerk of a thing is back and it sucks. I'm in a good amount of pain right now but the doctor did give me some medicine to hopefully get rid of this infection before it gets any worse. The worst part of the whole thing is that I have no other symptoms or pain with the exception of my lower right back (where the kidney is). So my doctor is always hesitant to jump to conclusions and just gives me an antibiotic that usually does the trick. Here is to hoping that this infection leaves my body as easily as it came. :)

In happier news, I hung out with my best friend Lauryn yesterday. Yes, I call her my best friend now. She is just that awesome. And we have matching best friend shirts from Banana Republic (they were on super sale, can you blame us for both having such fabulous taste?). In addition to our awesome style and the fact that we have way too much fun together, we are are one in the same in our music tastes. We busted out some of our favorite rap songs (and white girl ghetto fabulous moves) yesterday. It was hilarious. We are going to have a white tee rap party this summer. Want to come? :)

(( our best friend shirts ... haha ))

In addition to our mad rapping skills we unleashed, she took me to my all time favorite fast food place in the U.S. of A...

YES CHICK-FIL-A!!

(( yeah I totally made her take these photos for me :) ))

After I posted about this Godly place and how I was so mad Michigan did not have one Lauryn blew my mind with the information that Michigan did have one... and rather close to her home too. You know I was all over that after learning this! So although I had a great time hanging out with her yesterday, getting to eat Chick-fil-a again was the cherry to my day. No my week, wait no, my month. And did I mention that this was Lauryn's first time ever eating Chick-fil-a too? Yes, I got to devirginize her as Kim did to me. It was great! I plan to go again very soon with my friend Mallory because she shares the loves for chicken with me. Hip Hip Hooray!

In other happy news, I hit 100 followers yesterday. ONE FRIGGIN' HUNDRED! I couldn't believe it. Are there really 100 people out there that are so totally awesome and wonderful that they want to hear about my kidney infections and obsession with Chick-fil-a?! I can't believe it! I'm going to try to do something special in the very near future as a thank-you for being my friend (because that is what I consider you, not a follower like some crazy cult). :)

(( thank-you, thank-you, thank-you my loves ))

I hope you all had a wonderful hump day. :)

I hope you feel better soon! Thank sounds like NO FUN :(

You crack me up though! We recently got a Chick-Fil-A and for some dumb reason when we went there I got a salad (who does that??) and didn't care for it at all, so I have yet to go there again. You are probably murdering me with your eyes right now.

Sorry to hear about your kidneys. I had some issues with mine a few years back and had to do some testing and xrays and all that "fun" stuff. I haven't had an infections since... si I hope yours gets better soon. :)

Best friends are the best aren't they?! My BFF is over 2000 miles away from me. But we talk everyday so it's like we never left eachother's side.

Hope you're having a beautiful day! We have some rain in Lahaina today.. I'm so excited!

xx Love & Aloha

Okay firstly, I'm sorry that you're hurting but I'm also super glad that your doctor has given you something that will hopefully make you better :)

Secondly, what is with my clavicles in that picture? I look like I'm in dire need of that Chick-fil-A to avoid malnourishment, lol.

Thirdly, I love us and our crazy white girl ghetto moves! I had so much fun yesterday! :) Can't wait to wear my new shirt!

Aww Jenni, I hope you're okay after the service. It's tough, you'll find as you get older you'll be faced with these things more often. It's just a fact of life unfortunately.

Except for me. I plan to live forever, just so ya know.

I'm hoping your kidney gets better. (That picture made me laugh my ass off!)

You devirginized Lauryn, that's nice....wait, What? Umm. Oh. Never mind. My guy-brain WILL NOT go there.

*Going to my happy-place, going to my happy-place. Thinking of cold showers*

Your rapping sounds hilarious, you guys should record it next time. I'm more into hip-hop than rap. In addition to the newer stuff (Timbaland), I like old-school like Run DMC ("Tricky" is awesome!)

I dropped you a line by e-mail on a rap I wrote...

I don't eat chicken, but if I did, I'm sure I'd be mad over that place, too!

Sorry about your kidneys... It's scary whenever there's something unusual going on in your body...You don't know how it's going to affect you.

There's sth that should make you feel better about your kidney problems. My roommate had one of her kidneys kind of 'unattached' the way it should be and it's constantly moving (infinitesimally!) on its own, which causes her great pain. Even after a long bus ride on some bad roads, or after too reckless jogging, the kidney moves a little and it's TERRIBLE. (I never had the guts to ask her - what about reckless lovemaking, then? ^.^). The only solution is surgery, but - and here's the ironic thing - my roommate would rather hurt than "allow doctors cut her". So - I hope you DO feel better now (because, no matter what your issue exactly is, you're at least doing sth about it).

AND I've got to say, I've just discovered your blog. And it's amazing, I really - REALLY like the way you write (I always pay attention to this, because English isn't my first language...)

Take care, I'm off to find the follow button here :)
