Speaking of happiness...

Do you ever just sit back and think "wow, it is a great day to be alive"? I have been doing that a lot lately. I don't know exactly know what has changed to give me this mindset, but I'm enjoying it. And seriously, isn't it great to be alive?!

Thought I would share some of the great things going on lately that have kept this big smile on my face.

First and foremost - HELLO SUNSHINE. Seriously think I had a little sunshine orgasm yesterday when I saw this in my car. Me love Vitamin D and warm weather. Happy, Happy, Joy, Joy, Happy, Happy, Joy! :)

 (( co-worker and I enjoying the event ))

(( beautiful bride to be ))
Speaking of happy, happy, joy, joy... yesterday some co-workers and I threw a surprise bridal shower for our fellow friend and co-worker. She is getting married in late April and she wasn't having a bridal shower at all (family all lives outside of Michigan and due to the economy, none wanted to come in early for a shower, only the wedding. Sad, right?). So us fellow ladies threw her a huge surprise one with lots of food and desserts (yum!) and presents. She was totally surprised and happy which made all the hard work worth it. I love moments like this.

Speaking of bridal showers and work and happy moments... so I have been eating way to many cookies lately. Actually, just today my co-workers and I decided to devote the first week in April as 'eat healthy week'. We are planning to bring in only healthy treats and lunches that entire week and motivate each other (mainly me) to stay away from the sweets and treats we don't need. Go us! But anyways, back to the good stuff... like cookies! I made these super groovy frosting cookie sandwiches that you see above for the bridal shower (Tollhouse calls them Double Trouble and was my inspiration). They were amazing and I was amazing for making them. Thankyouverymuch. :)

Speaking of sweets... (gosh, can I please get over this topic of food?!), my good friend Sarah recently got the most awesome and amazing tattoo. Seriously, check this bad boy out. I'm in love. If there ever was a more perfect tattoo for me, it would be this one! Well maybe not the skull and cross bones but the cupcake, lollipop and ice cream cone part for sure. Totally in love!

Speaking of food and amazing-ness... you must go check out The Pavement Pounders blog for details on our latest fundraising efforts. I'm so proud of our team thus far and can't wait to get started fundraising and fighting cancer even stronger after we have our first team meeting this weekend. Hooray!

Speaking of The Pavement Pounders... one of my best friends Mallory, captain of The Pavement Pounders, just recently got a new job. A full-time, big girl, with benefits type of job too. I couldn't be more happy and proud of her. She deserves this more than anyone else I know! Well that is next to me ;)

Speaking of best friends... my beautiful friend Jessica celebrated her 23rd birthday this past weekend. We went out last Friday with a bunch of friends for dinner and drinks. It was so fun! Then this past week she surprised us with this adorable St. Patrick's card (see graphic above) thanking us for going out and sharing these beautiful photos. Those two hunks of hot dog love you see above are Mylo & Maggie, her babies. I love those two pups like my own.

Speaking of Friday... it's the weekend! And I'm uber excited for it to be here. I am way behind with things due to my hectic week so I need to catch up on some emails, catch up with some friends and catch up on some sleep. Hope you all have a beautiful, wonderful weekend. Catch you on the flip side :)

I'm a firm believer that what you give comes back to you in the end. I think the rest of that statement should be "if you do it without expecting anything in return". You're incredibly selfless Jenni, I wish there were more people around who care as much and genuinely as you do.

I think and hope you'll see many good things come your way as a result, starting with life's beautiful rewards like sunny days (I love the way you described it!)

TGIF!!
