The highlight of my weekend occurred on July 3rd when one of my best friend's older brothers got married. It was a beautiful ceremony at the Masonic Temple in Detroit, Michigan. Since he is a Marine, he had a lot of his Marine buddies there so although I didn't do anything patriotic on the 4th, hanging out with all of these guys made me feel like I was. The building they had the wedding and reception in was built in 1896 and fabulous! I may or may not have sneaked around the entire building with a friend looking at all the fabulous theaters, room, classrooms, roof top garden, secret closets and other random things that were so cool... even in the dark!

Us girls may have had a little too much fun in our hotel room. I mean it had a frickin' TV in the bathroom and plush carpet. What more could a girl ask for? HaHa.

Since I've been friends with Bessie for too long to count, I had so much fun with her family. This is me with two of her nieces who are all grown up now into two little beautiful women.

Basically I drank way to much wine (open bar, what, what!!), spent the entire evening on the dance floor then much of the late night hours in the club at MGM. We got back to our room at 4:15a and woke up at 10a the next day. Basically best night ever.
