Every year is good but I believe 2010 was a very special one as a lot of it was spent with my friends. Here are just some highlights from my year of friendship.
Started off January with some hockey game fun with my besties and meeting some of the best bloggers ever at our first Michigan blogger meet-up.
In February, I visited the Detroit ice house with Mallory then spent Valentines weekend visiting a fellow blogger and new friend, Kim, in Atlanta, Georgia... where for the first time in years it snowed!
March was a busy month! It started with going to get some Chick-fil-a with Lauryn at the one and only Chick-fil-a in Michigan, hosted a special surprise wedding shower for a co-worker, met up with the fabulous Michigan bloggers again for a movie (Alice in Wonderland!) and dinner, then last but not least I went on my first professional photo shoot with Lauryn.
April was full of lots of fun and new experiences... including meeting the fabulous Chelsea Handler with Ria and Mandy at a book signing and taking the plunge to try aerial yoga thanks to Sarah, Ria and Mandy and ended with a crazy drunken mess full of baseball on the Detroit Tiger's opening game.
As you all know, May is my favorite month of the year. And this one was rather special for many reasons. First it started with seeing our President, Mr. Barack Obama at UofM with Lauryn. After this one of the most horrible things happened, a friend of mine from high school lost her battle with cancer. This just might have been one of the worst parts of my year. After that, I celebrated the birth of me on May 11, went to the midnight showing of Sex & the City II and ended the month with fighting back against cancer at the Relay for Life with my team, The Pavement Pounders.
When the weather heated up in June, so did the fun! June started with one of the best concerts of the year, Mr. Brad Paisley! So much fun with so many friends! We ended June on the best friend date I may have ever had over fondue with all the wonderful Michigan bloggers.
July started with a trip to the Toledo Zoo with Mallory which brought back so many childhood memories, a wedding which happened to have all my besties in attendance, then ended up with a blast from the past at the Backstreet Boys concert with my favorite women.
Next to May, August might have been on of my favorites of the year. That might be because I spent the majority of it outdoors. Started it off with a bike tour of Detroit with Ria and Mallory, followed by a walking tour of Detroit's Eastern Market and a lovely brunch with Ria and Mae. August was also filled with some fabulous firework displays and a weekend trip to Frankenmuth with two of my favorite men.
September rolled around and so did more fun. Some of the blogger women and I attended a few pole dancing classes that were super fantastic followed by one of the best concerts I have ever been to in my life... the Jay-Z and Eminmen Home vs. Home concert. What an amazing month!
October was fun too. My friends and I had a great time tailgating for the in-state rivalry game of Michigan vs. Michigan State. Then after such a busy summer all my favorite women and I decided to spend a night in downloading music, painting our nails and laughing at my friends Vera Bradley collection.
I obviously forgot to blog all through November, but I didn't forget to do so in December. This past month has been super amazing. We hosted a wine tasting party where all of my favorites showed up to party and drink. Then my best friends and I took our mothers to see Mary Poppins at the Detroit Opera House.
I seriously have the most amazing friends in my life. Even through all the tough times, my friends made this year the best one yet.
